In Memory of Gerry Billings, a true light in our lives.
This year’s design depicts the Zia (Zee-ah) which represents the sun, light.
In
some cultures, the Zia represents the 4 seasons, the 4 directions in the
compass, the 4 periods of the day, the 4 stages of life.
This year has played out a little differently. Our theme was True Blue - we had to design 4 blocks to be arranged in either a 4-patch or a row of 4. Easy enough, but of course, I was working on a curve piecing fix.
Unfortunately, we feel this will be the last year Aunt Judy's Attic will participate in the Quilters Trek formerly known as Row by Row Experience.
The time and effort put into playing along each year have not met with many benefits for the quilt shop.
Our favorite part has been seeing the quilts made using our row.
