Black Lives Matter!

If you feel the need to comment "all lives matter" - then you're not listening.

Just like they didn't listen when he said: "I can't breathe".

I know, in the beginning, I wasn't listening either. How does anyone know the life experiences that I or anyone else has gone through - and to say their lives matter more?

I mean, seriously, I often tell my Mexican Wife how she needs to have a blonde blow-up doll in the passenger seat when she goes through US Border Patrol checkpoints - they always wave my white, freckly, sweet, wholesome goodness through; they have never pulled me off to the side to search my car like they do her.

But I have been trying to listen.

I have come to understand that I may never truly know all of it - but I do know, never once in all the times I have been oppressed - whether it be because I am a female, because of my disability, because I am bisexual because I am white - never have I ever feared for my life.

I am not going to make this movement about me and say all lives matter because it is not my life that is on the line.

If your busy shouting 'all lives matter', are you listening?

I'm saying I'm listening.

I'm saying, Black Lives Matter!
