My friend wanted to make a collaborative quilt to give her friend.
I was asked if I could design a pattern for an Elephant Block. She wanted the elephants to look like they were holding the tail of the elephant in front of them.
After being stumped for a bit on how to make it look like one elephant was not going to be goosing the other elephant's behind, I figured it out.
I think these guys turned out cute!!!
Fabric Suggestions and Amounts (based on a 40” wof):
Fabric
1: Background: (3 ¼ yards) a solid white,
a white on white fabric.
Fabric
2: Elephant Body: (15 fat quarters) Pink,
Purple and Grey. Choose a fabric that has a small to medium print.
Fabric 3: Elephant Ear: (leftovers from Fabric 2 fat quarters) If you chose Pink or Purple for the body, choose a Grey for the ear. If you chose Grey for the body, choose a Pink or Purple for the ear.
