Inner City Sew Along

Inner City Sew Along

Summer 2018

I had the wonderful opportunity to host this sew along in the facebook group: Life's A Quilt. The sew along was broken up into parts; with a new part presented to us each week.

Quilt measures Approximately 72" x 79"

I chose to make a controlled scrappy version of the quilt. I needed a reason to use all of these greys and blue fat quarter fabrics I had been collecting!

This sew along was broken up into 5 parts;

1) Fabric Requirements,

2) Cutting Directions and Layout,

3) Sewing Half Hexagons into Triangles,

4) Sewing Triangles Together, Squaring up the Quilt Body

5) Adding Borders

 Now that the sew along is over, I have combined all the parts into a Tutorial Style Pattern for you.

There are 45 pages of detailed instructions with pictures on how to piece together units using the Easy Y Seams Technique.

Clikc here to go to a secure website to purchase the pattern.

For this pattern, you have a choice between two different versions: A Simple Sue Version and a Controlled Scrappy Version. A Jelly Roll friendly pattern.

It was my intention to quilt the black background using a ruler, so I loaded the quilt using the "Clear View" set up in my longarm frame.
